Ground Hog, in Naperville, sees shadow!

Well the ground hog has definitely seen his shadow in the Naperville area. Eight more weeks of frozen pipes for plumbing contractors. Try and remember our tips under winter. A few more months and we'll be in the clear. Then the cycle of plumbing life can begin anew.
Don't forget we have electrical and HVAC (heating and air conditioning) service. Hope the economy isn't getting you down. Hang in there for the stimulus pack and a few prayers wouldn't hurt us.
Watch for our new scrolling sign truck. We have bags of cookies for those who stop us and ask.
Don't forget the St. Patrick day parade in Naperville. It's always a dooooossey!

The sub zero weather is coming.

Remember:

1 Check for drafts in mechanical areas around water pipes.

2 Leave kitchen cabinet doors open at night.

3 If you have faucets that tend to freeze keep water running at a trickle at night (Hot and Cold). Moving water won"t freeze.

4 Don't turn your heat off when your away.

5 If going out of town turn off your main water valve in your home at the water meter.

These are some practical tips for in home safety.

I received a call on Friday, Dec.5th 2008, from Mr. Thompson plumbing inspector for Auaora Il. He was worried that we had done work that was less then professional at a home on Andover Circle in Aurora. He told me that the toilets move six inches from side to side. He commented that he thought a painter had installed the plumbing. I assured him it was not our company. He called back twenty minutes later saying he was sorry. He had us confused with the company that pulled the permit "Expert Plumbing Service" in New Lenox Il.

We are shooting new commercials today. Hopefully Stephen will cooperate. It can be hard to get kids to ham up for the camera.

We are adding electric to our company with Glen French. Sure hope it pays off.

Lots of big changes happening. We are being forced to do things just to fight off our dishonest compeators. It may all turn out for the best.

Weathers turning cold and so is the economy. Hang on to your seats it's going to get a little bumpy.

The leaves are falling from the trees once again. The chipmunks and mice are beginning to chew there way into your home. They are exposing pipe and creating mayhem. Its time for you to make a visual inspection of your home before the cold and snow hits. Cover holes with sheet metal if possible and use your favorite deterrent. Traps, wolf urine, scarecrows, whatever. Please don't forget that when your garden is done your hose must come off before the first freeze.

In other news...Girls are back in swim team, "Go Bullets!", and the boy is growing like a weed. (see pictures). That last flood got me to. With three pumps going I could not hold back nature. On the bright side were getting new basement flooring. If you need flooring in Naperville there's only one place to go, Finishes on Washington. Best flooring , best installers, best people.

We're adding electric...

We're adding electrical services to our repitoire. The coupon on the new phone books is not our company. Thanks to all who have called to warn us about this deceptive advertising. Good news though; we will honer these coupons. Summer is ending and your water heater is going to start a busy season. Listen carefully for stress noises. We would be happy to check it for you at no charge if you mention this blog.

We are also going green and are officially a greened-screened contractor. This means we're pushing low flow fixtures like waterless urinals. If you read this, leave me a message. I'll write you back

Well summer has arrived!

It is difficult to put up with some of life's turns. One of my childhood friends died and it seemed that it went unnoticed by so many of his friends. He was a larger then life character who could not be forgotten. A least I thought so. We miss you already Bob.

We are looking for office help. Reception with typing skills, just contact us. My wife Shirley is the one to talk to.

Larry, who has been with us for 7 years, is having his first child in August. We are all so happy for him and his wife. It has been a long struggle.

It's summer. School is almost out and the kids are finally outside.

We are slowly creating the new "Green Latrine". A portable high end green powder room for those special events. Watch for it!

Blogger sucks

This Blogger is diffecult at best. A friend of mine died and his sister created a memoreal page on blogger. At least a dozon people from around the country told me they could not get into it. This is very sad. My blogs for the past four monthes have been unpublished. They said succesfully published but they were not.

Anyway...chech your hoses for breaks inside your house before you turn them on. My wife put the hose back on after I took them off for the winter and it broke for the second time in three years. Check it, check it, check it!!!!

Happy New Year. Got back from Cancun Mexico. If you have never been then you should. Cancun is beautiful and warm. Go all inclusive and you can't go wrong.
Its winter here. Subzero today and yesterday. When things warm up you could be in trouble. If you have frozen pipes and you have to leave your home make sure you turn off your water. If you still have a hose connected outside it's too late to save yourself. Tape that thing shut and put a note that reads "Do not use until plumber has checked!!!" do this right now or pay the price later. Also check your sump pump discharge line to make sure it hasn't frozen outside. If your pump is running all the time and the pipe above the pit is warm that means the water is not discharging and the pump will soon burn out. No Black Hoses!!!

It's frozen pipe season. All the happy creatures dancing on your lawn last summer have burrowed deep into your home leaving all your happy pipes exposed to the harsh weather. With snow on the ground you won't feel like crawling around your exterior. Don't worry, we'll crawl around for you. There will, of course, be a charge. "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!" Remember, WE NEVER CLOSE!"

Finished my Christmas shopping. HOO HAA. Keeping fingers crossed for a great new year. Please drive safe I can't afford to lose a single customer. And my God keep you in his favor in 2008.

I wish all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Just got back from Hershey Pa. and Chocolet Town. This was two days of a good time. If you have the time then go. The people were great and the chocolet was..well..its chocolet!

Hope you have all removed your hoses for the year. And check your homes for new rodent holes as they can cause freeze damage to pipes if exposed. Going to Can Cun, Mexico this year. My kids hope Santa knows where they are.

The baby is trying so hard to walk. He jumps from wall to wall in his play pen. He laughs at his success. But he laughs at most everything. I hope if you are reading this that life has been half as good to you as it has to me.

Its hot and everyone is finding out if they left there hose on over the winter. We have changed dozens of hose bibs this month. Hope one of them wasn't yours. Fathers day has come and gone. My family got me a three hundred dollar Driver, weather they like it or not.

We are taking our best management company owners on the Oddessy Diner Cruise as a thank you. Hope the weather co-operates. June 30Th we sale at 7:30...I think.

Baby is growing and using his hands more and more. He's still a happy kid. We are still to old for this. Oh well. We are the original Expert Plumbing in Naperville.

Well its summerish. Temps in the 80's and broken hose bibs everywere.

Congrats to Belgios catering for winning small business of the year from the Naperville Chamber.

We have recently taken over 2 jobs from another company that was pricing sewer repair at $20,000 dollars. We did the first one in Elmhurst, for $3500.00 and the other in Geneva for $7800.00 and gave a 5 year guarantee. If someone is telling you, your sewer needs repair feel free to get our price and compair. Just tell my office staff Steve said no charge for a sewer repair estimate.

My son is three and a half monthes old. He smiles a lot and is starting to use his hands. Most everything is funny to him. I admit I am to old to be raiseing a newborn but I guess God dosn't feel the same way. We love him but, kids are still a lot of work.

Hi it's Spring. We had a great time at Jonny B's show. The TOTO Washlet is up and running for little Avi. My new son is just over 2 monthes old. Things are going well at Expert plumbing. Feel free to E-Mail me with any questions or concerns you have about your plumbing system.

We have the new foot pedel flusher installed here at the shop. Everyone is welcome to come and give it a test drive. Our own washlet will be installed by mid May and you can come and see it also.

Well did you hear me on Johnny B's show? We gave a TOTO Washlet 3000 to a family with a handy-cap child. We hope it makes their lives just a little easier. Thanks TOTO for your fine, butt washing, product.

Baby Stephen is doing well and more and more alert everyday. His sisters are doing well adjusting to his presents in their home.

Watch out for the first time you use your hose. If you don't seem to be getting enough pressure it maybe running into your basement!
