It is difficult to put up with some of life's turns. One of my childhood friends died and it seemed that it went unnoticed by so many of his friends. He was a larger then life character who could not be forgotten. A least I thought so. We miss you already Bob.

We are looking for office help. Reception with typing skills, just contact us. My wife Shirley is the one to talk to.

Larry, who has been with us for 7 years, is having his first child in August. We are all so happy for him and his wife. It has been a long struggle.

It's summer. School is almost out and the kids are finally outside.

We are slowly creating the new "Green Latrine". A portable high end green powder room for those special events. Watch for it!

This Blogger is diffecult at best. A friend of mine died and his sister created a memoreal page on blogger. At least a dozon people from around the country told me they could not get into it. This is very sad. My blogs for the past four monthes have been unpublished. They said succesfully published but they were not.

Anyway...chech your hoses for breaks inside your house before you turn them on. My wife put the hose back on after I took them off for the winter and it broke for the second time in three years. Check it, check it, check it!!!!

Happy New Year. Got back from Cancun Mexico. If you have never been then you should. Cancun is beautiful and warm. Go all inclusive and you can't go wrong.
Its winter here. Subzero today and yesterday. When things warm up you could be in trouble. If you have frozen pipes and you have to leave your home make sure you turn off your water. If you still have a hose connected outside it's too late to save yourself. Tape that thing shut and put a note that reads "Do not use until plumber has checked!!!" do this right now or pay the price later. Also check your sump pump discharge line to make sure it hasn't frozen outside. If your pump is running all the time and the pipe above the pit is warm that means the water is not discharging and the pump will soon burn out. No Black Hoses!!!

It's frozen pipe season. All the happy creatures dancing on your lawn last summer have burrowed deep into your home leaving all your happy pipes exposed to the harsh weather. With snow on the ground you won't feel like crawling around your exterior. Don't worry, we'll crawl around for you. There will, of course, be a charge. "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!" Remember, WE NEVER CLOSE!"

Finished my Christmas shopping. HOO HAA. Keeping fingers crossed for a great new year. Please drive safe I can't afford to lose a single customer. And my God keep you in his favor in 2008.

I wish all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Just got back from Hershey Pa. and Chocolet Town. This was two days of a good time. If you have the time then go. The people were great and the chocolet was..well..its chocolet!

Hope you have all removed your hoses for the year. And check your homes for new rodent holes as they can cause freeze damage to pipes if exposed. Going to Can Cun, Mexico this year. My kids hope Santa knows where they are.

The baby is trying so hard to walk. He jumps from wall to wall in his play pen. He laughs at his success. But he laughs at most everything. I hope if you are reading this that life has been half as good to you as it has to me.

What lives in Elmhurst and gets quoted $15,000.00 to fix there sewer that the plumber got 2 of his rods caught in? Our new customer, thats who. We fixed the sewer and pulled the other guy's rods out for $3500. As quoted after she had already paid them $2800.00 to do the damage. Call us first call us second or call us third but, call us! Its hot and everyone is finding out if they left there hose on over the winter. We have changed dozens of hose bibs this month. Hope one of them wasn't yours. Fathers day has come and gone. My family got me a three hundred dollar Driver, weather they like it or not.

We are taking our best management company owners on the Oddessy Diner Cruise as a thank you. Hope the weather co-operates. June 30Th we sale at 7:30...I think.

Baby is growing and using his hands more and more. He's still a happy kid. We are still to old for this. Oh well. We are the original Expert Plumbing in Naperville.

Well its summerish. Temps in the 80's and broken hose bibs everywere.

Congrats to Belgios catering for winning small business of the year from the Naperville Chamber.

We have recently taken over 2 jobs from another company that was pricing sewer repair at $20,000 dollars. We did the first one in Elmhurst, for $3500.00 and the other in Geneva for $7800.00 and gave a 5 year guarantee. If someone is telling you, your sewer needs repair feel free to get our price and compair. Just tell my office staff Steve said no charge for a sewer repair estimate.

My son is three and a half monthes old. He smiles a lot and is starting to use his hands. Most everything is funny to him. I admit I am to old to be raiseing a newborn but I guess God dosn't feel the same way. We love him but, kids are still a lot of work.

Hi it's Spring. We had a great time at Jonny B's show. The TOTO Washlet is up and running for little Avi. My new son is just over 2 monthes old. Things are going well at Expert plumbing. Feel free to E-Mail me with any questions or concerns you have about your plumbing system.

We have the new foot pedel flusher installed here at the shop. Everyone is welcome to come and give it a test drive. Our own washlet will be installed by mid May and you can come and see it also.

Baby Stephen is doing well and more and more alert everyday. His sisters are doing well adjusting to his presents in their home.

Watch out for the first time you use your hose. If you don't seem to be getting enough pressure it maybe running into your basement!

Born Febuary 24th at 9:58p.m. Stephen Christopher Brockman. Wife shirley is doing fine. The sisters are happy but a bit jealousy. I am trying to keep my attentions equally divided amongst the house. I'm the proud father and happy to have someone else in the house who will pee standing up.

On the plumbing front...Spring is coming. The thaw will get your sump pumps running. Don't put off that battery back-up system any longer. AND FOR GOD SAKES TAKE THOSE BLACK HOSES OFF YOUR DISCHARGE PIPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you know, during an emergency, which plumber to choose. Is your regular Plumber open 24/7. If your brother-in-law dose all your work will he be there when your sewer backs up and fecal matter is floating past the sofa. What if he's out at the suicide hot-line talking some poor heart out of the worst mistake of there existence. Will he tell that person "I have to go. My brother in law has pooh issues."
Most people go for big adds with the attitude "I know its going to be expensive but their sure to be open. Well, your right, and they know it.
How about we make a list right know? Lets pick the trades and criteria for our future trouble. It's like a 401K for troubles.
Here is my list and my reasons for choosing these people.
(I should remind you that I have full access to all trades and their history.

Plumber: EXPERT PLUMBING Inc. Commercial and residential
Located in Naperville at 424 Fort Hill Dr Suite 122
Family owned by Stephen and Shirley Brockman who live in Naperville.
Employees are paid hourly and NOT commission on sales. This eliminates recommendations for unnecessary or over priced repairs.
Company will quote prices over the phone when possible allowing you to shop.
Company will travel anywhere in the Chicago area and is licensed and bonded through out the State of Illinois.
Has location and excavating equipment for late night and weekend water main and sewer repair.
Not: aaa expert plumbing, not expert plumbing and heating, not expert plumbing service.

electrician: Electrical Solutions Inc. Commercial and Residential and Industrial.
Located in Aurora and owned by Larry Ulrich and Glen French. Their not 24/7 but you can usually get them till about 8:00 p.m. if you tell them it's an emergency they will make the extra effort to get to you right away. Tell them Steve at Expert Plumbing said "Get out here!" They have 2 trucks and can handle low and high voltage issues alike. They charge hourly and will bid jobs. They have the best response time and aren't afraid to work late or on Sunday if need be. 630 417-8935

Heating and Air: Energy Services, Located in Naperville and owned by Bob Forty. They have 24/7 response. They are very knowledgeable and professional. They do get commission on sales but will stand by there prices and guarantee there work. They have several trucks and serve the entire Chicago land area.

Water Damage Clean Up Pro tech Water damage. Tell them Steve from Expert Plumbing sent you and they will respond within 40 minutes. Peggy is the rep we speak to all the time. This is a chain company which is what you want to make sure your invoice will clear your home owners policy. We have been robbed by Service master and other like companies but Pro tech has always treated my customers right. 1 800 709-FLOOD (3566)

After that list nothing else is a real emergency. I know what some of you are saying "My computer being down in an emergency!" well if this is how you feel then I have that guy too.

ARDS Services. Rich Stompanato is the owners and operator. He has saved my company on several occasions and at reasonable rates. Best of all he will come out late or on Saturday. I think he would do Sunday if you have the green to sway him but, I'm not sure. Is is located in Naperville. He answers his phone himself at 630 826-3115

All of the people above come highly recommended by my wife and I. We trust them. If you don't want to be ripped off by the companies just waiting for you to make the mistake of calling them keep these numbers handy. Or call us 24/7 "WE Never Close"

Lastly for those non Emergency jobs:
Painting LOTZ PAINTING Mark and Brenda Lotz integrity and Quality Best paint best painters best repairs. They will fix and paint and guarantee it all. Located in Plainfield and serving the Chicagoland and southern Wisconsin area (Will not do work at Lambo field).

Floors and tile FINISHES CARPETS & INTERIORS. Beverly and Patrick Muzar. They have a showroom in downtown Naperville. When you want some one who will go the extra mile on your installation these people are absolutely meticulous. Hi All, Well it's finally winter and the freeze is on. The ground is hard and your brain is soft from playing Wii. Time to think about battery Back-up sump pumps. If yours is more then 5 years old the battery needs to be checked for chargeable.

We have received several complaints about service and price from companies pretending to be Expert Plumbing. We are the only and original Expert Plumbing, we are located in Naperville, Illinois and service the entire Chicagoland area. Don't get robbed by these imposter Service companies. Ask for an address. If you type the words "Plumbing in Naperville" into the search engines, you will get several companies with fake addresses. If a company has to pretend it's Expert Plumbing and lies about its location, how do you think it will treat you?

I hope your garden hoses have been put away for the winter. Also, remove any attached discharge hoses on your sump pump lines. If the discharge freezes the pump will burn out and you will flood in the springtime!

Hoses OFF!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

As the weather turns colder, don't forget to remove your garden hose from your outside spigot. The reason for doing this is because the water will freeze and it will block your pipes, so that next spring when you turn on the hose for the first time, the water has nowhere to go but into your basement. So remember to take the hose off and attach a styrofoam cover over it. You can get one at most hardware stores for a few bucks. If you don't, you'll be seeing us next spring. Even my wife Shirley did this last year!

The Pheasant Run Home Show in St. Charles is coming Friday, September 29th through Sunday, October 1st. I'll be there demonstrating Toto "One-Flush" toilets. Stop by my booth and mention this blog and I'll give you a beautiful Expert Plumbing coffee mug and one of our fabulous wrench pens.

If you're a regular customer, be aware that there are at least two other companies with similar names pretending to be us. You'll know us by our wacky commercials! Our flat rate on most advertised items will have no extra or "up" charges. Remember, at Expert Plumbing, "We Never Close"! Don't be fooled into calling an imposter, call 877-579-1996!

Meanwhile, my wife Shirley is expecting in February of 2007. This came as quite a surprise to my girls, now ages 7 and 8! So we're now having somewhat of an identity crisis at home.

Don't Get Ripped Off!

Welcome to my first Blog. Let me start by telling you we are the original Expert Plumbing, and our main office is located in Naperville IL. Don't be fooled by other companies with similar names that may sound like us. They're not.

Today's topic is sewer work. If you own a home, you will probably need some kind of work on your sewer system. Some unscrupulous plumbers will tell you that you need sewer work that could cost you anywhere from $3,500 to $8,000. If you hear this kind of figure, call us right away. We will always be happy to give you a competitive estimate.

In my thirty-five years as a Plumber, the most we have ever charged someone is $4,200. And that was the exception, not the rule. On average, $2,000 to $2,500 is about right for the kind of work I'm talking about.

Even worse is the fact that 99% of all sewers have holes... but that doesn't mean they need to be excavated. If someone tells you differently, call us! We'll give you a free estimate anywhere in the Chicagoland Area. And I can say that because I'm the boss... but please don't tell my wife I said that. Just mention that you saw my offer on this blog. I'll be back soon with more.
